Acceptable Use Policy

SugarBowl.ie is a dating and social-discovery platform for consenting adults (18+) in Ireland who are open to mutually beneficial companionship. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out, in plain English, exactly what is and is not allowed. It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Breach may result in immediate, permanent removal from the Platform without refund and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

Strictly prohibited, zero tolerance

  • Prostitution, escorting, sex work or any direct or indirect exchange of money, gifts or value for sexual acts.
  • "Pay-per-meet" (PPM), "pay-per-date", "pay-per-content", or compensated dating arrangements of any kind.
  • Solicitation, advertisement, brokering or facilitation of commercial sexual services.
  • Human trafficking, sexual exploitation, forced labour, modern slavery, or any conduct that facilitates these.
  • Minors. Any content involving, depicting, suggesting or sexualising anyone under 18, anywhere in the world.
  • Sexually explicit content or nudity, including in profiles, chat, voice notes, or paid private galleries.
  • Non-consensual content, "revenge porn", deepfakes, hidden-camera material, or images of any person who has not given clear, ongoing consent.
  • Requesting or sending payment, gifts, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank transfers or "tributes" off-platform in exchange for meetings, contact or photos.
  • Romance scams, advance-fee fraud, investment scams, "rich-uncle" / inheritance schemes.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, stalking, or any abusive behaviour.
  • Impersonation, fake profiles, catfishing, identity theft, or use of another person's photos without permission.
  • Spam, mass messaging, multi-level marketing, recruitment for other websites or services.
  • Sharing personal contact details, social-media handles, payment identifiers (Revolut tag, IBAN, PayPal, crypto wallets, OnlyFans, etc.) in profiles or unsolicited messages.
  • Bots, scrapers, automated systems, reverse engineering, or any unauthorised access.
  • Anything illegal under Irish or EU law.

Encouraged

  • Honest, respectful conversation between adults.
  • Authentic profiles with recent, clearly identifiable photos that you own.
  • Clear communication about expectations, boundaries and lifestyle.
  • Voluntary identity / selfie verification, it builds trust.
  • Reporting any concern via the in-app "Report" button.

Reporting illegal or harmful content

If you encounter anything that breaks this AUP, please report it immediately:

  • In-app: tap the "•••" menu on a profile or message and choose "Report".

  • Suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or trafficking: report to hotline.ie and An Garda Síochána. We will preserve evidence and cooperate fully.
  • For emergencies in Ireland, dial 112 or 999.

Enforcement

We moderate every profile manually, scan content automatically, and act on every credible report. Penalties scale from content removal, warnings and feature restrictions, up to permanent ban without refund and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement and inclusion in cross-platform fraud / abuse databases. Our moderators have final say.
