Trust and Safety

Trust is how we run the place

Not a logo we bought. SugarBowl is Irish-owned and accountable, every profile is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and the rules that keep it safe are enforced rather than decorative. Here is exactly how it works, in plain terms.

Every profile reviewed by a person

Manual review before approval, plus email verification before anyone can browse or message. We reject fake, stolen, and low-effort profiles.

Strictly 18 and over

Age confirmation on entry and the RTA (Restricted To Adults) label so filtering software recognises the site. Any minor account is removed and reported.

Your data, your control

GDPR-compliant, EU-based, and you can delete your account and data at any time. We do not sell your information.

Report and block anyone

One tap to report or block from any profile or chat, and a real person at [email protected] when you need one.

We are Irish, and we are accountable

SugarBowl is built and run in Ireland, with Irish support you can actually reach. We are not a faceless overseas operation behind a stock logo. That accountability is the point, because the easiest way to keep a community honest is to stand behind it openly rather than hide behind a brand name. If something is wrong, there is a real person here to fix it, at [email protected].

What we do not allow, ever

Prostitution, escorting, soliciting paid sexual services, anyone under 18, and any form of exploitation or trafficking are banned outright, with zero tolerance. Sugar dating is companionship between consenting adults that may include financial support, which is legally distinct from paying for sexual services under Irish law. Accounts that cross that line are removed and reported where required. The full detail is in our Acceptable Use Policy, and you can read why the distinction is clear in Irish law in our guide to whether sugar dating is legal in Ireland.

Staying safe when you meet

No platform can vouch for someone in person, so the ordinary care still matters. Keep early conversations on the platform, meet in public the first few times, take your time, and trust your instincts. Never send money or share bank details, and treat anyone asking for a verification fee or a gift card as a scammer, because that is exactly what they are.

Reporting and anti-trafficking

You can report or block any member instantly, and we act on reports quickly. We take exploitation and human trafficking seriously, and we have no place for either. If you ever suspect that someone is being coerced, controlled, or trafficked, please tell us at [email protected] and report it to the Garda Blue Blindfold campaign, which exists specifically to combat human trafficking in Ireland. In an emergency, contact the Gardaí on 999 or 112.

Common questions

Are profiles on SugarBowl verified?

Every profile is manually reviewed by a person before it goes live, and members must verify their email before they can browse or message. We are looking for genuine people and we reject fake, stolen, or low-effort profiles. We do not claim to run formal background checks, and no online platform can guarantee another person is exactly who they say, which is why the safety steps below still matter.

Is everyone on the platform over 18?

Yes. SugarBowl is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. There is an age confirmation on entry, the site carries the RTA (Restricted To Adults) label so filtering software can recognise it, and any account found to belong to a minor is removed immediately and reported where required.

Prostitution, escorting, soliciting paid sexual services, anyone under 18, and any form of exploitation or trafficking are banned outright, with zero tolerance. What do you do with my data?

We operate under Irish and EU law and are GDPR-compliant. You can delete your account and your data at any time from your settings, and request a copy of your data. We do not sell your information.

How do I report someone?

You can report or block any member from their profile or your messages, and contact us directly at [email protected]. If you ever suspect trafficking or exploitation, please report it to us and to the Garda Blue Blindfold campaign, which exists for exactly that.
